At
the Japan Open China's super talent, only 15-year-old GUO Yue, signed
an equipment contract with JOOLA. Immediately afterwards GUO Yue became
Pro-Tour Doubles champion for the 4th time and also won the finals of
the women's singles. By doing that GUO Yue became the youngest ever winner
of a Pro Tour Tournament. After reaching the quarter finals of the World
Championships and winning of the doubles silver medal this is the first
big succes for the teenager, who is considered as the biggest talent in
the history of Chinese Table Tennis.
GUO Yue first appeared as 13-year-old at the Austrian Open in Open 2002
in Europe. Even then she reached the quarter finals and reached attention.
The
left-hander who prefers a spectecular European style shakehand topspin
game also became the crowd's favourite at the German Open 2002 in Magdeburg
where she reached the singles semi-finals and the doubles finals.
JOOLA is proud that
GUO Yue has chosen JOOLA despite numerous other offers. To the question
what tipped the balance, she answered: " With the Mambo rubber I
did very well at the first go and the TT shirts of JOOLA are just the
most beautiful."
