06.04.2004 The few wild card entries for the Olympic Doubles Tournament were hotly contested. In the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle in Ludwigshafen, Germany, two JOOLA players - Jörg Roßkopf (with his partner Lars Hielscher) and Zoltan Fejer-Konnerth (with Timo Boll) - achieved the qualification.

The tournament was played, just like the Singles Qualifications in Luxemburg, on the new JOOLA 3000 SC tables. The same table tops will be used for the Olympic Games in August, however, in a so-called show court version with undercarriages specially designed for Athens. It is the third time in a row that JOOLA is the equipment supplier of the Olympic Games.
