29.10.09 On Wednesday the English Open, a Pro Tour tournament with prize money of 172,000$, started in Sheffield. The English Table Tennis Association have had a close cooperation with JOOLA for many years, and this has created a great atmosphere. Again the players have been enthusiastic about the JOOLA tables, which provide ideal playing conditions. Over the next few days it remains to be seen whether the Chinese players will win the titles again. Is is expected that the Chinese women will dominate, however, the men's compeition might be more balanced - after the last results in the World Cup (that was also played on JOOLA tables) where Timo Boll and Vladi Samsonov were a real force. |
