18.08.10 Last Saturday the 1st Youth Olympic Games started in Singapore with a fantastic opening ceremony and the traditional marching in of the participating nations. Among them is Germany's up and coming hopeful Petrissa Solja.

The several time European cadet champion, puts herself under pressure with her determination to not only compete but also win a medal for Germany. At the Youth Olympic Games there are both singles and mixed team competitions, where Petrissa will play with Florian Wagner.

The table tennis competition will take place from 21st to 26th August.
